Dehydrated salted beef
I always have a few pack of beef jerky at home So I could have food when I dont want to make a heavy meal. I will eat them with cheese and cucumber to ensure a balanced diet. And romanticising it as a connection with my possibly Mongolian genes which btw we all have. Food dehydration is a good natural way to preserve food. I out a lot of salt in making it to improve preservation ability. Doing all these is a form of preparedness in times of emergency situation like having extra water stored at home. Dry salty meat is most dense form of food that is easy to store. I tested it to store in room temperature in sealed jar for two years. Learning how to make it in times of peace is better than leaning it when it becomes a necessity.
